Kevin Bacon and wife Kyra Sedgwick tried their hand at doing the viral Footloose Drop dance trend taking over TikTok, inspired by his iconic 1984 film Footloose.
The actor, 62, posted a sweet video of him and his other half, 54, to Instagram on Tuesday, as he held her by the arm and leg, before dropping her to the beat.
‘I don’t remember this being part of the original choreography,’ he jokingly wrote in the caption underneath the video, adding, ‘But figured we’d give it a spin.’

Though he didn’t remember that particular move, the couple aced the dance – which is set to the film’s title track by Kenny Loggins – and gave each other an encouraging high-five at the end.
The Mystic River star went barefoot for the short clip, and sported a casual look, wearing a black T-shirt, black Adidas sweatpants, and a hat.
Meanwhile Kyra matched in an athletic black outfit of her own, wearing black yoga leggings and a form-fitting T-shirt.

Kevin’s 1.9M fans and followers were thrilled with the adorable video, with one praising the actor, writing, ‘You’ve still got it!!’ while another gushed about the pair being ‘Couple goals.’
The original musical-drama – directed by Herbert Ross – starred Kevin as Ren McCormack, a teenager who moves to a small town and attempts to overturn the local ban on dancing.
Though it opened to mixed reviews from critics, it was a box office hit, grossing $80,035,403 domestically, and becoming the seventh highest-grossing film of that year.

The dance isn’t the only project the couple have been working on lately, as Kevin recently starred as Jeff McAllister in Kyra’s directorial debut Space Oddity.
The comedy/sci-fi film follows Alex (played by Kyle Allen) who’s ready to leave his family’s flower-growing farm and begins ‘training a one-way trip to Mars, that will plant him on an uninhabitable planet with no ticket home’ as per IMDb.
The film – written by Rebecca Banner – premiered in the United States on June 12.
Bacon opened up about what makes his relationship with Kyra work in a 2020 interview with People: ‘Kyra and I believe in each other as actors, as directors and as talent. She’s never been anything other than supportive of me.’

Despite the routine, the actor didn’t appear to mind to be stuck with the Emmy winner, saying ‘her partnership is invaluable,’ and adding, ‘I found someone I was meant to be with.’
Bacon and Sedgwick have been married since 1988. The couple share two children, daughter Sosie, 30, and son Travis, 33.
