Kevin De Bruyne has been forced off injured during Manchester City’s FA Cup semi-final clash with Chelsea. 

The playmaker was removed from the pitch after appearing to land awkwardly on his ankle when taking on N’Golo Kante. 

As a result, manager Pep Guardiola was forced to introduce Phil Foden into the game in the 46th minute of the game.

After rolling his ankle, De Bruyne attempted to play on before going to the floor to receive treatment from City’s medical staff. 

De Bruyne was subsequently substituted – limping off the pitch before heading down the tunnel.  

Manchester City will be left sweating on the status of his injury as the club plough on in their quest for a quadruple.
