Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has reignited his feud with the city of Brisbane by calling it a ‘dump’.

The outspoken batsman, 39, took to Twitter on Tuesday to share his hatred of the river city on the night the Big Bash League started at The Gabba.

His comments come two years after he called Queenland’s capital a ‘sh**hole’ ahead of the 2017/18 Ashes series, and then doubled-down in BBL commentary.

‘The Big Bash League starts in Brisbane,’ he tweeted.

‘Quite smart really. Get the dump out the way early doors, then move on to proper Australian cities.’

The former Melbourne Stars player’s social media following were less than impressed by his comments.

One person said: ‘In five Test innings at the Gabba Kevin Pietersen scored 195 runs. No wonder he hates it there!’

Another said it was better than England due to the sunny weather.

One Twitter user was in awe that Pietersen’s feud with the city was still ongoing.

‘KP’s continuing feud with Brisbane is a thing of beauty,’ the social media user tweeted.

This is not the first time the batsman has expressed his disgust about Brisbane.

‘It’s a s**thole,’ he said in 2017.

‘I’ve got the Test match then I’ll be on the first aeroplane out of here as soon as the last ball is bowled, don’t worry.’

Then when asked in BBL commentary by Adam Gilchrist what his three favourite things about Brisbane were he was scathing in response.

‘The departure lounge, the taxi on the runway to the plane and the visual of flying out of Brisbane,’ he quipped.

England lost the series to Australia 5-0 that year.

Pietersen averaged just 39 in Tests played in Brisbane, and had a high score of 10 at the Gabba in Twenty20 matches.
