KFC has been accused of dirty tactics after installing a billbord over a family run chicken shop.

Chicken Central’s manager Michael Drake said it was a blatant example of big businesses pushing smaller ones around.

‘I’m quite surprised that KFC would put something like that on the side of our shop considering we’re a chicken shop as well,’ he told 7 News.

Locals shared their outrage and said it was unfair and potentially confusing to customers.

One boy said chicken lovers may think that Chicken Central is a KFC and be confused when they can’t get their favourite items.

An advertising firm controls what goes up on the sign outside the store.

Before Friday it was an ad dedicated to the Clive Palmer United Party.

Mr Drake said he would prefer neither sign outside of his chicken shop.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted KFC for comment.
