Khamzat Chimaev insists he would smash Jake and Logan Paul in the same night

Khamzat Chimaev insists he would ‘smash BOTH Paul brothers in the same night’… before Jake tells UFC rising star to ‘sit down, shut up and pray you get paid fairly’

  • Khamzat Chimaev made incredible start to life in the UFC with dominant wins
  • He returned from battle with Covid to put away Li Jingliang at UFC 267
  • Chechen-born fighter has now taken aim at both Jake and Logan Paul
  • He threatened to smash both, but there is little chance of either fight happening

Khamzat Chimaev has become the latest UFC fighter embroiled in a Twitter spat with the Paul brothers.

The YouTubers-turned-boxers were targeted by Chimaev, who has emerged as one of the most exciting talents MMA has seen since making his debut last year.

Chimaev shared a picture of himself on the left with Logan and Jake Paul on the right, captioned: ‘I can smash this (sic) guys same night. BOXING.’

He also shared a snap of himself with his team at the gym in which Logan Paul can also be seen glancing across at him.

The 27-year-old added: ‘And they know about it!’ And his final salvo was a photoshopped picture of him sitting in what appears to be a hunting lodge with a gun and the Paul brothers superimposed over taxidermy heads on the wall.

Jake Paul fired back, writing: ‘Listen Kumquat… you are just another UFC fighter pretending you can box. Sit down, shut up and pray you get paid fairly.’

Paul has repeatedly raised what he argues is pitiful pay from the UFC to their fighters and former UFC fighters such as Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley were given their biggest paydays for boxing the younger of the brothers.

There is almost no chance of Chimaev being allowed to box either of the brothers given his contract with the UFC and status as one of their biggest stars already.

The Sweden-based welterweight recently wiped the floor with the No 11-ranked Li Jingliang with a first-round finish at UFC 267.

It was his fourth first-round finish in four fights to maintain a spotless record and the hype is gathering fast, with plenty of justification.

No doubt the UFC will offer him an established name in the top 10 next but perhaps he is sowing the seeds of a future crossover bout with one or both of the Paul brothers further down the line.

Jake is currently preparing for his next contest against Tommy Fury, who is being trained by his brother Tyson.

That will take place on December 18 in Florida and many expect it to be the most severe test of the entertainer’s novice boxing skills.
