Khamzat Chimaev warns Belal Muhammad ‘I need one minute to take your head’

Khamzat Chimaev warns Belal Muhammad ‘I need one minute to take your head’ after call-out as pair trade insults with American mocking UFC welterweight rival’s battle with Covid

  • Khamzat Chimaev has responded to being called out by Belal Muhammad
  • Muhammad recently beat Stephen Thompson and wants to take on rising star
  • He said he is going to steal Chimaev’s hype and undefeated fighter responded
  • Cechen-born wrestler claimed he would dispatch Muhammad in one minute

Khamzat Chimaev has warned Belal Muhammad he will finish him in just one minute if they fight.

Muhammad is one of the few fighters to call out the fearsome prospect, who most regard as the most serious challenge to Kamaru Usman’s welterweight title.

Having beaten Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson at the weekend, Muhammad took aim at Chimaev, saying he wants to ‘steal the hype’ and put himself next in line for a title shot but bursting the Cechen-born man’s bubble.

Chimaev is undefeated so far in the UFC

Chimaev has now responded and the pair of them traded insults on social media.

Chimaev wrote: ‘You number one bulls***, I need 1 minute to take your head.’

He also took aim at the fact that Muhammad had to stop his fight with Leon Edwards earlier this year having been poked in the eye.

The Swedish star added: ‘When you got a finger in your eye you gave up, how you even gonna think to fight me? Bull**** boy.’

Muhammad struck back, noting the Covid battle that Chimaev went through that was so severe it almost forced him to retire.

‘Didn’t you retire because you had a cold? Don’t worry friend, I got some NyQuil for you,’ he posted.

Chimaev shared a snap of Muhammad knocked out on the canvas with the caption: ‘Wake up, you have to fight Borz’, while Muhammed knocked up his own meme, administering medicine to his rival.

Dana White himself says nobody has made the instant impact of Chimaev in the UFC, even Conor McGregor.

The grappling phenomenon, who also has dangerous stand-up, has hardly taken a punch in his first four wins, all in the very first round.

His recent demolition of Li Jingliang was particularly impressive and now he is angling to face higher ranked competitors in the division.

Muhammad is now ranked at No 5 with Chimaev down at 11 so there is every chance the fight will be made as there is clearly the will from both sides.
