Kick Insomnia to the Curb

Insomnia is a beast to deal with. Sometimes it lasts only a night or two, but for others, it can last for weeks and months. In a few rare circumstances, people have gone years struggling with Insomnia.

Insomnia can be a side effect of many different things. For example, poor mental health, bad bodily conditions, or even excess levels of anxiety can create insomnia, and cause it to linger for longer than you can imagine.

What are some ways to combat insomnia? What can you do to help get better sleep at night?

These are two questions we can cover right now. The help you need might just be right around the corner.

Combating Insomnia

First and foremost, if you are dealing with severe insomnia, please consider seeing a healthcare professional. Most insurances will cover this visit, and it’s worth seeking the advice of a professional if things are very rough for you.

Getting your mind right is the first step to fighting insomnia. Try to figure out what it is that makes you lay awake at night. Is it anxiety? Does your mind just race with thoughts? Do you come up with things you still need to do at work?

All of these are things you need to figure out. It’s worth noting that extra work or outstanding tasks do not need to be solved while laying in your bed at night. All of this can wait until tomorrow. If you struggle with anxiety, try to get to the root of your anxiety. Embrace your thoughts and truly figure out what’s causing the anxiety. Often times it is excess worry, and once you realize this, your insomnia will fade away.

Make sure you setup a proper bedtime routine, too. This can involve no TV, no cellphones, and no other electronics. Reading a book at night, even if reading doesn’t interest you, works for a ton of people. Just laying in your warm bed with the lights low or off while you read a book is enough to make people tired enough to fall asleep. It’s worth a shot, right?

Be sure to set yourself up for 8 hours of sleep, too. Make a routine where you are in bed at the same exact time every night to help set your sleep/wake cycle up for success. Random sleep routines often cause insomnia issues, because your body never really knows what your optimal time for sleep is.

Products to Help Insomnia

There are several products that claim to help insomnia, but this one is my favorite: ‘sleep’ CBD gummies for sleep by New Phase Blends.

These powerful CBD-based sleep aids revolve around mixing melatonin with CBD. Remember the sleep/wake cycle we mentioned earlier. These gummies help set that cycle up for success by mixing a small amount of melatonin in (3mg per serving). It’s just enough to help you get the sleep you need. The CBD-rich hemp extract aids in relaxing the body for sleep. The result is nothing short of incredible if you truly need sleep.

Kick your insomnia to the curb by using these methods, and this product. You don’t need to struggle with sleep deprivation and all of the side-effects it brings.
