Kieran Trippier’s wife Charlotte posts cryptic message and ‘unfollows him’ on Instagram on eve of England’s final Euros group game

Kieran Trippier’s wife has posted a cryptic message and reportedly unfollowed him on Instagram on the eve of England’s final Euros group game.

Charlotte Trippier wrote in an Instagram story yesterday: ‘Sooner or later you get over the s*** you swore you’d never get over and it’s the best feeling in the world.’

Further posts in the story, which included the caption ‘the sun is shining, happy Monday’, show the WAG sitting in the car listening to music while she waits to pick up her children from school.

The profile belonging to her Newcastle star husband did not come up in the list of accounts she was following this morning – leading social media users to claim she had unfollowed him. Trippier still follows her.

The pair, who are childhood sweethearts, married in June 2016 and have three children. Charlotte used to also run Instagram fashion blog Style Up Sisters alongside her sister Rosie Wray, but the account appears to no longer be active.

While a number of the squad’s partners have been spotted in the stands at their group stage games so far, Charlotte has been nowhere to be seen.

She instead spent last Friday at popular Newcastle fair The Hoppings, sharing snaps on her Instagram of her day out with the couple’s three children.

The wives and girlfriends of the England squad flew home from Germany two days ago after a visit to their partners at their Blankenhain base for 24 hours.

The partners of players were invited to England’s base camp at Blankenhain to help take their minds off pressures of trying to win Euro 24.

England are staying in a luxury resort which is sealed off from public view and affords the star players the ultimate privacy.

But a short break after the second game with their partners had been pre-scheduled before the tournament began for the team.

All wives and partners had been invited to the England camp including Lewis Dunk’s girlfriend Abi Yaxley, Megan Davison, the wife of Jordan Pickford, and Ellie Alderson, who is the partner of Ollie Watkins.

Trippier, who plays as a defender for Newcastle, has so far started both Three Lions’ games in Germany at the European Championship, though those have come out of position at left back.

He is set to make it three for three tonight as well, despite some concerns over his workload as he continues to fight back from a calf injury that interrupted the end of his 2023-24 campaign.

MailOnline contacted Trippier’s representatives for comment.
