Kim Kardashian looks like a living doll in latex dress and silver wig at Met Gala after party

She hit the Met Gala red carpet hours earlier in a custom Thierry Mugler creation – and Kim Kardashian decided to go for a very different look for the after party in New York City on Monday night alongside her famous sisters.

38-year-old reality star Kim, looked like a living doll in a latex blue mini dress with matching boots and a silver fringed wig for the post-gala bash, which was held at Up And Down.

Her sister Kendall Jenner, 23, wore a cartoon strip white and black mini suit which appeared to hark back from the 80s in design, with black heels and carrying a silver disco themed bag.

Statement: While Kim pulled out all the stops, her husband Kanye West was decidedly low-key in his mechanic style jacket and trousers

Kylie Jenner, 21, channelled Kim as she slipped into a green wig and wore a glittering mermaid-style green dress which had cut-out sections, worn with perspex heels.

Mother of three Kim’s outrageous look comes after she went on a strict diet before the annual event, which she had chronicled on her Instagram.

Hours earlier, Kim arrived to the 2019 Met Gala in a stunning caramel colored gown that accentuated her hourglass figure – a Thierry Mugler creation.

The KKW Beauty founder dazzled on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City while posing with husband Kanye West.

She told E! News that designer Thierry ‘envisioned me a California girl stepping out of the ocean dripping’ for her Met Gala look: ‘That is the vibe tonight.’

Kim added that the look was ‘eight months in the making.’

The entrepreneur said to the E! reporter: ‘This is the first time in 20 years Mr. Mugler has designed for the House of Mugler,’ calling it an ‘honor’ for him to design it for her.

The dark haired beauty revealed that the wet hair look was part of Thierry’s overall vision for Kim.

Kim said the frock had a ‘proper corset,’ which highlighted her ample cleavage and her tiny waist.

The number had buttons down the center with ruching along the midriff, hips, derriere and sleeves with delicate crystals hanging all over.

Kim sported wet looking curly locks with brown shadow around her lids, nude lipstick on her full pout and defined brows.

Meanwhile, Kanye chose a $42 Dickies jacket for the star studded fashion extravaganza; the Dickies men’s twill insulated Eisenhower jacket is also available to purchase at Target.

The 41-year-old rapper paired the affordable cover up with matching hued bottoms and boots.

When asked by the E! reporter what she was looking forward to eating most post-Met Gala is donuts, which she will get delivered.

Kim said she is dreaming of eating ‘hot donuts vanilla with rainbow sprinkles.’

The Met Gala is the annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute and is the most glittery and exclusive event on the New York fashion calendar.

It is famous for attracting luminaries of Hollywood, of fashion, music, sports, TV and the stage for an evening of fashion and charity to mark the museum’s spring exhibit.

This year, the exhibit and gala are dedicated to the idea of ‘camp,’ as defined by Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay Notes on ‘Camp.’

The Met Gala, formally known as the Costume Institute Benefit, is always chaired by a team of high-wattage celebrities, and this year is no exception.

The event is chaired by pop star and actress-of-the-moment Lady Gaga, tennis star Serena Williams, and singer Harry Styles, along with Gucci designer Alessandro Michele and, as always, Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

Wintour said she believes this year’s Met Gala to be about ‘self expression’ and ‘individuality’, noting that she wanted to see ‘outrageous, fun, tongue in cheek’ fashion on the red carpet.

The new theme seems decidedly more lighthearted than last year’s hugely successful Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, about the relationship between fashion and Catholicism.

That sumptuous, sprawling show drew more visitors than any Costume Institute exhibit — more than 1.3 million to the Met’s main Fifth Avenue location, and nearly 200,000 to its Cloisters branch — and indeed was one of the most attended shows in the museum’s history.

‘Fashion is the most overt and enduring conduit of the camp aesthetic,’ said Andrew Bolton, curator in charge of the Costume Institute and creator of its blockbuster shows. Bolton said the 2019 show would ‘advance creative and critical dialogue about the ongoing and ever-evolving impact of camp on fashion.’

The exhibit will feature approximately 175 objects, not only clothing but also sculptures, paintings, and drawings.

Designers to be featured in the show include: Cristóbal Balenciaga, Thom Browne, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Charles James, Christian Lacroix, Karl Lagerfeld, Prada, Versace and many more.

The Camp: Notes on Fashion exhibit will run from May 9 through Sept. 8.
