Kim Kardashian puts her star power behind Meghan Markle’s vegan coffee brand as she becomes latest celebrity to promote the business

Kim Kardashian has become the latest star to get behind Meghan Markle’s vegan coffee brand.

The reality TV star, 40, promoted latte firm Clevr Blends, which the Duchess of Sussex, 39, has invested in, to her 196million Instagram followers.

The media mogul shared a snap of a hamper she received containing packets of the products, which have also received support from Oprah Winfrey.

Clevr Blends makes oat milk latte drinks and is based in California where Meghan now lives with Prince Harry.

Speaking about Kim’s promotion of the business, a source told The Sun: ‘A product mention from her, just before Christmas, is better than most marketing campaigns you could ever devise.

‘Throw in Meghan Markle and Oprah and you’ve got three of the most famous female names on the planet supporting this brand.’

Among the products Kim received in her hamper included the Golden SuperLatte and the Flowerhead Tea.

It comes after Piers Morgan previously likened Meghan to Kim, calling her a ‘mini royal Kim Kardashian’ in the documentary Harry & Meghan: The Royals in Crisis.

Claiming the couple’s previous move to Canada was about making her a ‘star’, Piers said: ‘If Meghan Markle thinks she is going to emerge from this as some kind of figure, she needs to think again.

‘She’s going to end up like a mini royal Kim Kardashian with all the ignominy that goes with that title.’

It comes after Meghan and Harry signed a lucrative podcast deal with Spotify worth up to £30million as they took another big step towards building what experts believe could become a $1billion business empire in the US.

The couple will produce and host their own shows as part of the newly formed Archewell Audio – starting with a ‘holiday special’ that the couple hopes will ‘uplift audiences around the world’.

Spotify has not revealed what the contract is worth, but the streaming service agreed a £75m ($100m) deal with US comedian Joe Rogan in May. The Mirror reported the Sussexes would be paid £30million – other sources put it closer to £20million.

The Sussexes’ agreement came just months after the royals agreed a £100million partnership with Netflix and days after Meghan invested in Clevr Blends.

A ‘well placed’ royal source told The Mirror: ‘The initial multi year deal is worth in excess of £30 million with a view to extending the deal within six months.

‘Meghan was the driving force behind the deal. She was incredible in the meetings with executives and had a clear vision of what they as a couple have to offer.

‘Spotify’s whole business plan is to acquire the world’s most talked about celebrities in one place and Harry and Meghan fit the bill entirely. It’s a win win scenario.’
