Kim Kardashian thought netball was ‘Australia’s version of the Met Ball’ while filming her viral UberEats advert with Magda Szubanski
Kim Kardashian wore a netball bib in her now-viral UberEats advert with Kath & Kim character Sharon Strzelecki, played by Magda Szubanski.
And the 58-year-old actress and comedian revealed on Tuesday that Kim, 39, was completely clueless about what netball actually is.
Speaking to Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa, Magda said the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star had assumed netball was similar to the Met Gala.

Magda explained: ‘I said to Kim, “Do you even know what netball is?” And she said, “No, but we have this thing called the Met Ball?”‘
The Met Ball, more commonly known as the Met Gala, is an annual fundraiser for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.
It’s likely that Kim, who was born and raised in California, was never exposed to the game during her childhood.
Netball has never been featured in the Olympics and is mostly played in Commonwealth nations, like Australia and the UK.

Magda also confirmed that she and Kim had filmed their scenes for the UberEats commercial separately due to scheduling issues.
‘Sharon’s very busy, she’s got a lot of commitments,’ Magda joked.
‘She’s got her indoor footy, little league, so it was Sharon’s fault she couldn’t be there with Kim.’

Kim’s sister, Khloe, and a filming crew for Keeping Up with the Kardashians were present during the shoot.
The Project’s Lisa Wilkinson filmed an interview from the set, and was required to sign a release form meaning that she may appear on a future episode of KUWTK.
Magda added that it’s unlikely her character, Sharon, will feature on the long-running E! reality show.
Magda and Kim’s unlikely partnership has made their UberEats advert go viral across the world
