A generous act of kindness has surprised locals in Canberra after a man shared the touching note left on his windscreen this week by a stranger.
Drivers would usually be unimpressed at the thought of a note on under their wipers likely informing them of construction work set to delay their commute or that their car had been dinged by a careless motorist.
This note was different, however, offering the car owner advice to take a minute for themselves and included a $5 note for a hot drink.

‘Hello, today is Friday and the weeks can be long, days can be hard, so I wanted to shout you a cup of coffee, for you to sit down, put your feet up. Relax and enjoy,’ the letter read.
The driver posted a picture of the note to a local community group on Facebook.
‘Good deeds are uncommon and should be acknowledged. Thanks to the anonymous donor and I hope he/she wins a jackpot. (I was) rushing out of work for a quick lunch and saw this on my car,’ he wrote.
The group’s members were equally impressed by the heartwarming gesture.
‘How lovely! Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for sharing,.. inspired me to do the same and pass it forward,’ one person wrote.
