But at the Monday premiere of Venom – which stars Michelle Williams and Tom Hardy – in Los Angeles, the 69-year-old happily posed away on the red carpet.
The rocker was seen with pretty wife Shannon Tweed, 61, as well as kids Nick, 29, and Sophie, 26.

Gene kept to his rock ‘n’ roll ways as he opted to don an all-black look.
He matched a suit jacket with a button-down shirt, added a pair of shiny leather pants, and wore sunglasses on his way in.
His wife Shannon, 51, looked youthful as always as she opted for solid pants and a low cut shirt with beige and red patches on the shoulders.
She has posed on the cover of Playboy and appeared in movies such as Scorned and Forbidden Sins.

Sophie showed off her stunning figure in a black dress as she walked the red carpet.
Nick kept things classy in a grey suit with a black button-down shirt underneath, and let his long locks fall onto his shoulders.
The short dark frock fell to the middle of her thighs and featured a large cutout in the middle that showcased her cleavage.
There was also a splash whimsy about the garment that featured long shimmering fringe that turned the Urban Myths star’s arms into wings.
