Ooshie mania has swept the nation this year following the massive success of a campaign by Woolworths.

In July, the supermarket released a highly sought-after set as part of its Lion King promotion.

The hype around the collection was so huge, rare items like a furry Simba were spotted being sold on eBay for exorbitant prices.

Daily Mail Australia reported at the time how one person had listed their ‘Orange Simba’ on the online platform for $45,000.

Another was also seen on the site selling a ‘super rare blue Mufasa’ Ooshie for a starting bid of $20,000.

A third seller from Victoria was seen advertising a gold Mufasa for $999, ‘cash only on pick up’.
