Kmart shoppers are racing to stores across the country after spotting Apple iPad Mini 4s on shelves for the first time.

The Apple iPad Minis are described as a ‘compact powerhouse’ with a sleek design; they’re available in space grey, gold or silver.

The refurbished Kmart iPads are $269, come with Wi-Fi and cellular and have a 128 GB capacity.

An eagle eyed shopper who noticed the ‘unexpected’ item on Kmart’s website shared the bargain find to a members group.

Shoppers are delighted by the new tech offering and have no problem with their refurbished status – especially with inflation and the cost of living being so high.

‘Refurbished iPhones and products are great actually. Basically buying second hand but it’s been worked on by professionals to make it as good as it can be functionality wise,’ one woman said.

Others said the well-priced buys would be a great and affordable way for kids to watch videos and play games.

However, some did warn that the Mini 4, which was launched in 2015, was an old model that might not accept some updates or be able to work with all apps.

‘My daughter has this iPad and you can’t update any further, it’s so slow… you basically can’t download anything as you need newer updates to do so,’ one woman said.

Others who had sworn off ever purchasing refurbished technology ever again were quick to agree.

‘Refurbished equals other customers problem items returned to the store for ‘fixing’ before being put back up for sale, buy refurbs at your own risk,’ one man cautioned.

Shoppers pointed out that in addition to Kmart stocking the refurbished Apple Minis, they were also available to purchase from Woolworths and Coles.

Kmart fans have been abuzz of late over several new ‘hot buys’ including the $99 Spot Cleaner.

The spot cleaner has hundreds of rave reviews online with people saying they ‘can’t believe’ just how much dirt it sucks from carpets, couches and car seats.

‘Purchased one after watching an online review. Wasn’t disappointed. The colour of my dirty water says it all. My couch looked clean but definitely wasn’t,’ one woman said.
