Shoppers are rushing to buy new $12 slippers from Kmart that are almost identical to a designer pair from Ugg Australia which cost $200.
Available in black and firetruck red, the ‘Slingback Furry Scuffs’ – which have a slip-on design and an open-toe front – are in stock online in women’s sizes 5/6, 7/8 and 9/10.
Satisfied customer Alice McEvoy, from New South Wales, posted on Facebook calling the slippers ‘so comfy’ and saying she was delighted to have picked them up for more than 16 times cheaper than the Ugg version.

Others declared the shoes ‘the best’ they have ever bought, with one woman saying: ‘I have these and honestly I don’t even wear normal slippers or slides anymore, I wear these everywhere.’
‘They are so cute off I go tomorrow to buy me a pair!’ said another.
One mother said she wore them to drop her kids at school one morning and was inundated with compliments and queries about where she’d bought them.
The slippers are the latest Kmart release to prove a huge hit with fashionistas, hot on the heels of a $28 maxi-dress that flatters every body shape and a $9 t-shirt that stylists say is so versatile, they wear it multiple times a week.

Available in-store and online in sizes six to 20, the ‘Short Sleeve Drop Shoulder Tee’ crops high on the arms and comes in five trendy colours: black, white, ‘apricot’ orange, blush pink and Breton stripes.
Budget fashion bloggers have been showcasing its versatility on Instagram, layering the top over silk midi-skirts and tucking it into high-waisted jeans and split-hem trousers.
Canberra blogger ‘This is Genevieve’ said the material is ‘thick, durable and [has] enough structure’ to make it look considerably more expensive than its bargain price tag.
‘Can confirm this $9 tee is amazing,’ she captioned a photo of herself wearing the t-shirt on Monday.
Brisbane budget style blogger ‘Luxe or Less’ wears the t-shirt in white over a pair of wide-leg culottes and tennis shoes
Brisbane blogger Georgia, who posts as ‘Luxe or Less’, replied: ‘So good! I’ve literally worn my white one about five times in two weeks.’
She said it’s ‘getting embarrassing’ how often she’s been wearing the t-shirt and plans to head back to Kmart to buy it in different colours.
Melbourne stylist Deni added: ‘Such a bargain! If I knew Kmart was bringing these out I wouldn’t [have] bought mine from H and M.’
Followers were impressed with the quality and affordability of the top, with one saying: ‘Those sleeves! Another one to add to my list to buy!’
