Shocking video shows shows knife-wielding thugs attack staff in a barber shop who fight them off using a mop and a chair.

The dramatic incident took place at around midday last Thursday in north Sheffield and was caught on the shop’s CCTV cameras.

Footage shows two attackers enter the shop and loiter for a short while as staff go about their daily business – including one who is midway through drilling.

But suddenly the thugs pounce on three men, dragging them to the floor and unleashing kicks and punches.

At least one of the attackers then pulls out a knife as the barber shop staff fight back with chairs, brooms and mops.

One staff member hurls a chair at the attackers, before it is thrown back at him and they wrestle with the chair.

After more than a minute of fighting the attackers gang up on one worker by the shop entrance.

He seems to be struggling before his colleague comes to his aid with a mop and starts smashing it over the heads and bodies of the thugs.

He said: I go here for my haircut every week. These guys were under a random attack.

‘Anyone who knows the barbers and the owner [they] are really nice people and [don’t] deserve this.’

Jane Shoeib added: ‘Those s**** need to get a job instead of attacking people who are trying to earn a living, scumbags.’

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said: ‘We received a report at around 12:50pm on Thursday 16 January of an assault at a barber shop on Page Hall Road, Sheffield.
