The Punies, a scripted podcast, centers around ‘a group of neighborhood friends who are learning about life through the lens of sports.’

A new episode of The Punies is available every Saturday.

In an interview with Lewis Howes, Kobe talked adjusting to life off the court.

‘When you play the game, you hit a game winning shot, you miss a shot, the reaction is there—you can see how people are responding to it, you can feel it,’ he explained.

‘I don’t see how people are affected by The Punies. I miss being able to feed off of the energy [of the crowd].’

Bryant is also gearing up for the release of his new book—The Mamba Mentality: How I Play—on October 23.

‘The mentality book is really about process and craft. It’s really a basketball bible,’ he told Howes.

‘A lot of things that I learned through the game were through photos. You can look at a photo and see a player making a move and learn from the angle of his feet or how he’s using his hands on defense. I really break things down to the smallest detail through that and that’s what you’ll see in this book.’
