‘It’s hard to find people who have the same goals — especially when they’re younger and want to start a family.

During the podcast, Kristin spoke out about calling off their engagement and their split.

‘Basically I called of the engagement [for] the same reason I got a divorce, and so I guess if there’s any takeaway from that is you can’t ignore red flags,’ she said to Call Your Daddy podcast host Alexandra Cooper.

Adding: ‘People don’t change, and you’ve got to trust your gut.’

‘I was 23 when I met Jay, I was a baby and at that time in my life, getting married and having kids was the next natural step. I had gotten everything out of my system and I don’t regret anything at all and I am thankful for our time together,’ she said on the podcast, via TooFab.

She continued: ‘I just think, now I’m so different dating and I see s**t a mile away. And now it’s like “Nope, I’m not going to put up with that.” It’s a big turnoff instead of being, “Maybe he’ll change, I can fix him.”‘

The star has been linked to Chase Rice and Jeff Dye and Tyler Cameron since the split, but has previously said she enjoys ‘being alone.’
