Kyle and Jackie O dominate the Australian Commercial Radio Awards by taking home multiple gongs including Best On-Air Team


Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson have shined at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards, cementing their place as the king and queen of FM radio.

The popular KIIS 106.5 duo took home Best On-Air Team after the official winners list was released on Wednesday.

Jackie also won Best Entertainment Presenter, while 2GB breakfast host Ben Fordham was awarded Best Talk Presenter.

It’s the seventh time Kyle and Jackie O have won Best On-Air Team since the start of their professional partnership 21 years ago.

They previously won the award in 2006, 2007, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2018.

Jackie’s win in the Best Entertainment Presenter category saw her beat Kyle as well as Triple M’s Lawrence Mooney, the Hit Network’s Carrie Bickmore and Nova FM’s Tim Blackwell.

It’s the first time Jackie has won the award.

The Kyle and Jackie O production staff also collected Best Multimedia Execution – Station, Best Multimedia Execution – Sales, Best Station Promotion and Best Sales Promotion.

Ben Fordham was awarded Best Talk Presenter for the sixth time, but it was his first time receiving it since replacing Alan Jones in the breakfast slot.

Other notable winners included 3AW’s Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft (Best On-Air Team – Metro AM) and comedian Joel Creasey (Best Newcomer On-Air). 

Joel joined Kate Ritchie and Tim Blackwell on Nova’s Kate, Tim & Joel drive show a year ago.

This year’s ACRA Awards covered both 2020 and 2021 after the Covid pandemic forced the cancellation of last year’s ceremony.
