Kyle Sandilands still wears wedding band from ex-wife Tamara Jaber

It has been eight years since he parted ways with ex-wife Tamara Jaber.

But Kyle & Jackie O Show host Kyle Sandilands admitted on Monday he still wears his wedding band to this day.

The 46-year-old, who is in a long-term relationship with girlfriend Imogen Anthony, argued the ring is now different as it has been ‘redesigned’ since his nuptials.

The radio shock jock married former pop-star Tamara in September 2008, before splitting with her less than two years later.  

He explained how he had the band redesigned after their divorce and because he paid for it, he believed it was fine to still wear it despite being in a new romance.

‘I’ve had it redesigned it. I bought it myself, no one bought it for me,’ he contested.

‘That’s not an issue though?’ asked co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson. ‘That would be a real issue for me, I reckon, if you were wearing your ex’s engagement ring.’

‘But I don’t see it like that,’ Kyle replied. ‘I see it like, I’ve got 86 black diamonds and a platinum [band] – I’m not going to just throw it out!’

He offered the ring’s redesign was based on ‘what I’m like now’ and described how he wears it on his pinkie finger as he has ‘put on a fair few kilos’ since his marriage.

In 2014, Kyle revealed live on radio he regretted marrying Tamara, saying: ‘The next wedding will be heaps better… it might even last my whole life!’

Los Angeles-based Tamara has also spoken to Daily Mail Australia about her high-profile ex, admitting she is still friends with Kyle despite their differences.

‘I don’t think we’d ever not talk to be honest but we are the kind of people that know each other’s personalities and I don’t really choose to hold onto s**t,’ she laughed.
