Kylie Jenner and President Trump make Time’s most influential people

Celebrity Kylie Jenner, rapper Kanye West, actress Busy Philipps and news hound Matt Drudge have landed on Time magazine’s annual round up of the 25 most influential people on the Internet.

So did someone with 53 million Twitter followers – President Donald J. Trump.

The magazine released the annual list on Thursday after sizing up contenders by looking at their global impact on social media and their overall ability to drive news.

Meanwhile, rapper Kanye, 41, returned to Twitter in April after a year-long absence and seemed to have changed many of his former opinions calling President Trump his ‘brother.’

However it didn’t affect his standing with his 28 million followers, Time commented, who made sure his new album Ye, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard top 200 chart.

Actress Busy Philipps, 39, may have just 1 million followers but she has successfully parlayed her Instagram Stories adventures into a book deal, lucrative partnerships with brands including Michaels and Campbell Soup and recently, her own late-night talk show on E!.

The 51-year-old’s site now has over a billion monthly page views and counts President Trump as a fan. This year he called Drudge a ‘great gentleman’ who ‘really has the ability to capture stories that people want to see.’

When it comes to President Trump, Time says his ‘unorthodox stream of consciousness’ generates headlines and galvanizes his base.
