Kylie Minogue is the new queen of fizz as pop princess’ prosecco becomes the biggest seller in Britain

Raise a glass to Kylie Minogue as the pop princess tops not only music charts but wine sales too with her best-selling ‘pink prosecco’.

The star has a lot to celebrate after her 55th birthday on Sunday and her new song Padam Padam becoming her highest-charting single in almost a decade.

And now, fresh sales figures show that Britons can’t get her drinks out of their head. Kylie Minogue Wines sold £25million across the UK in the year to May 6 – 32 per cent higher than the year before, according to data firm NielsenIQ.

Her signature ‘pink prosecco’ was the best-selling prosecco rose while her Vin de France was the most popular rose over £7.

The company said the past year was ‘by far the best year’ since her drinks business launched on her 52nd birthday after selling four million bottles across the world.

‘My heart is bursting with joy,’ Kylie told her 2.5million Instagram followers in a video message.

Last week, as she celebrating the company’s third anniversary at a West Hollywood luxury hotel dressed in a vintage Halston dress, Kylie said she ‘can’t believe’ it had been three years since Kylie Wines launched.
