Kyly Clarke reflects on her ‘very rough week’ following the death of Shane Warne – and how she sought comfort in workout sessions and spending time with her daughter

Kyly Clarke has spoken about her difficult week following the loss of her good friend Shane Warne.

Sharing a post to Instagram on Saturday, the 40-year-old wrote: ‘What a very rough week or so this has been.

‘Started out with so much sadness and I know that will last for while yet.  I’m planning for a few ups and downs along the way, to make things that don’t feel fair in life, sit better with you.’

Working hard: Kyly Clarke (pictured) has spoken about her difficult week following the loss of her good friend Shane Warne and revealed how workouts have lifted her spirts

Kyly went on to say that she had a ‘huge scare’ at the gym – where she had sought solace in gruelling workouts – after pulling her lower back out and rolling on the floor in pain for 15 minutes.

To lift her spirts, the former WAG, who was once married to cricketer Michael Clarke, said she took her daughter, Kelsey Lee, six, to a pizza dinner and ice skating.

‘Life can throw you curve balls, but if I have learnt anything, it’s all about how you choose to catch them, dodge them, get hit but get back up again and just keep on keeping on,’ she added.
