Kyogo may have played his last game for Celtic with Rennes looking to complete £10m deal for 30-year-old striker

Kyogo Furuhashi may well have played his last game for Celtic with reports in France claiming a £10million fee has now been agreed with Rennes.

The Japanese striker helped Brendan Rodgers’ side qualify for the knock-out round of the Champions League with a 1-0 win over Swiss Champions Young Boys.

But with Celtic’s passage to the next phase now assured, it looks like the club are keen to get business done with the departure of Furuhashi seemingly the first movement.

Kyogo had three goals ruled out by VAR against Young Boys on Wednesday night

The Japan international has been a huge success since signing for the club from Vissel Kobe in 2021.

Now aged 30, he’s believed to be keen to try his luck elsewhere while Celtic feel they cannot turn down such a big offer for a player at this stage in his career.
