Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are on the cusp of a return to the NBA floor after rejoining Clippers practice Friday.

The star pair have been missing for six and five games respectively. Their comebacks will be a welcome boost for the LA franchise.

‘They’re gonna do something today and just kind of see how they feel,’ Lue said ahead of Clippers practice Friday. ‘But both are progressing really well.’

Without George and Leonard the Clips have gone 2-3, most recently losing 125-112 to Utah on Wednesday.

Despite their reasonable standing with the conference, LA have had to deal with several injuries beyond the duo throughout the young season.

‘I’m excited to get guys back, PG and Kawhi, get Luke back,’ Lue continued.

‘But I am very excited just to kind of see what we have. ‘It’ll take a little time [to get a rhythm].

‘Kawhi coming back still having a minute restriction. And our back-to-back situations [holding Leonard out in one of the games].

‘So, it’s going to take a little time just figuring out the rotations, who plays well with who.

‘Trying to figure out how to split Kawhi’s minutes and what’s best for the team and what’s best for him as well.’

Ty Lue’s team currently sit 5th in the ultra-competitive Western conference.
