A Labour MP has been accused of having an affair with a married mother-of-two.
Former Shadow Education Minister Toby Perkins is alleged to have struck up a relationship with a woman he met in his constituency in Chesterfield, it has been claimed.
The 48-year-old’s wife, Labour councillor Suzie Perkins, reportedly told a friend her husband ‘stayed in a five-star hotel’ with another woman.

According to The Sun on Sunday, Mrs Perkins confronted her husband before ordering him to leave their marital home in Chesterfield.
In October, Derbyshire Police reportedly launched a hunt for Mrs Perkins when she went missing from her home for several hours.
She is alleged to have stormed out before returning the next day and telling her husband to leave, The Sun claims.
Mr Perkins, who was first elected MP in 2010, has been married to Suzie for 22 years and the pair have two grown up children.
He was Shadow Minister for Armed Forces until June last year, and has served as Shadow Minister for Small Business and Shadow Minister for Children and Families.
Sources reportedly told the paper Mr Perkins began a relationship with a woman he met in July, and she ‘travelled to Westminster every week’, where the pair ‘stayed in a five-star hotel.’

Mr and Mrs Perkins have been contacted by MailOnline for comment.
The Labour MP has reportedly told The Sun he denies the allegations made.
