‘No matter how far I go or where my career takes me, I’ll continue to be close to my fans of Baltimore Flock nation and the entire State of Maryland. You’ll See me again.’

The tweet came as Ravens coach John Harbaugh sat down to underline his plans for the 2023 season.

He first told NFL.Com: ‘I’m getting ready for Lamar. When Lamar gets back on this train, it’s moving full speed. We love him.’

But Harbaugh then admitted Jackson’s posts on social media caught him unaware and that he hadn’t seen them before speaking to the media.

‘I haven’t seen the tweet,” Harbaugh said. “It’s an ongoing process.

‘I’m following it very closely, just like everybody else is here and looking forward to a resolution. I’m excited. Thinking about Lamar (Jackson) all the time.

‘Thinking about him as our quarterback. We’re building our offense around that idea. I’m just looking forward to getting back to football and I’m confident that’s going to happen.’

The 26-year-old Jackson has been with the Ravens since 2018, his entire career in the NFL.

In the 2022 season, the Ravens made it to the Wild Card round before losing 24-17 to the Bengals.
