Thousands of revellers flocked to the St Jerome’s Laneway Festival on Sunday, with the perfect summer weather bringing out an array of bold and colourful outfits.
The beloved festival returned this year for the first time since the Covid pandemic hit in 2020, with a blockbuster line-up of local and international acts.
A young and energetic crowd took advantage of the clear blue skies, with short skirts, vibrant hair and clothing dominating the fashion of the day.

With gates opening at 11.30am and the last acts finishing around midnight, the 18th edition of Laneway is set to be a long day of celebrations.

Commonly referred to as Laneway, the festival began as a series of weekly gigs at an unassuming bar in Melbourne CBD in 2005.
It has now exploded in popularity and expanded to five Australian cities—Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Fremantle—as well as Auckland, New Zealand and Singapore.

For the second year running, Laneway in every Australian city was open to those aged over 16, and the Sydney leg of the tour attracted a lively young crowd.
All patrons under 18 had to be accompanied and supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
Laneway Festival New Zealand was cancelled due to catastrophic weather that resulted in a State of Emergency being declared in Auckland on January 27.
The festival will continue its tour of the country, with Adelaide to host on February 10, followed by Melbourne and then Perth.
