Lara Trump beams happily as she returns home with two-year-old son Luke

Proud mother Lara Trump couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she enjoyed an outing with her two-year-old son Luke in New York City on Monday afternoon.

The 36-year-old mom-of-two, who gave birth to her second child with Eric Trump, daughter Carolina, one month ago, enjoyed a mother-son stroll in the Big Apple, and was seen returning home to the penthouse she shares with her husband.

President Trump’s daughter-in-law opted for a very low-key ensemble for the outing, showing off her athletic figure in a pair of blue capri leggings and a matching blue-and-white plaid shirt.

She took full advantage of the unseasonably warm weather in New York by going without a jacket, and she finished the look off with a pair of white Chanel espadrilles and some aviator shades.

Clearly mindful of the warmer weather, Lara held a bottle of water in her right hand, while her son Luke sat perched in a stroller that was being pushed by his mother – who was accompanied by two watchful Secret Service agents.

Lara headed for Trump Parc East from the busy corner of 59th Street and Sixth Avenue but most New Yorkers seemed to pay her little attention,

She smiled for the camera as she approached the entrance, walking past a Pret A Manger eatery adjacent to the Trump property, before heading inside.

The residence is only a short distance from Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue where the Trump Organization is based, and where Lar a has been known to work on occasion.

However, the mother-of-two is no doubt enjoying time away from the office after the birth of her daughter Carolina on August 19, although the newborn did not join her mom and brother on their outing.

It has been quite a milestone few weeks for Lara, Eric, and their children; weeks after they welcomed baby Carolina, the proud parents celebrated their son’s first day of preschool, with Lara documenting the moment in a series of Instagram images, while confessing that she was struggling to keep her emotions in check.

‘FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!! #NoTears,’ she captioned her images, which included a family snapshot that appears to have been taken in their New York City apartment.

In the photos, young Luke was dressed very smartly for his first day at school, wearing a pair of gray corduroy shorts, a blue long-sleeved polo neck shirt, and a pair of leather loafers.

Luke, who is Donald Trump’s ninth grandchild, also celebrated his second birthday earlier this month with his mother and father, who took him out to a toy store to stock up on a new Paw Patrol toy, before the trio enjoyed some frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity.

The family then spent time at the Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey over the weekend – while Lara’s sister- and brother-in-law Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner jetted off to Italy for designer Misha Nonoo’s star-studded wedding.

However, by Monday, the White House advisors were back in the Big Apple in order to attend the UN General Assembly – with Lara showing her support for Ivanka on Monday morning when the first daughter spoke at the Concordia Summit, an event that runs alongside the main UN event.

During her conversation, which was focused on the Trump administration’s Women’s Global Development and Prosperity (W-GDP) Initiative, Ivanka joked that her mother Ivana – Donald Trump’s first wife – makes the President look ‘politically correct.’

Calling Ivana a ‘tough,’ ‘strong’ woman, she admitted that her sense of humor is sometimes seen as insensitive.

‘So my mom grew up in communist Czech Republic,’ Trump explained, ‘which means as a child I got away with nothing. So she is definitely tough, definitely take no prisoners.’

Much of the Trump clan is actually in New York this week in order to support President Trump as he joins his fellow world leaders at the United Nations gather.

However, Trump caused controversy on Monday when he showed little interest in the climate summit, spending just a few minutes in the hall and applauding Indian leader Narendra Modi.

Trump had come under fire from Democrats and climate activists for his decision not to have the UN Climate Summit on his schedule for the week.

The President has expressed skepticism about climate change in the past and even called it a hoax created by the Chinese to hurt U.S. manufacturers.

His visit was most notable for his upstaging of teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg, walking in surrounded by reporters as the 16-year-old stood to one side.

The Swedish teenager’s ‘death stare’ as the President entered has already become a viral meme.
