Before the notoriously private couple started dating in 2013, Lara had been a tabloid fixture in Sydney.

She had her own reality show, Being Lara Bingle, and dated a string of famous men, including former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke.

Lara was a little-known 19-year-old model from Cronulla, in Sydney’s south, when she became the face of Australia’s tourism industry in 2006.

The $186million ‘So where the bloody hell are you?’ campaign was masterminded by future prime minister Scott Morrison and screened across the globe.

The advertisements featured various Australians preparing for visitors to their country, and concluded with a bikini-clad Lara stepping out of the ocean and asking, ‘So where the bloody hell are you?’
