One eagle-eyed family have spotted a very-well hidden and monstrous python hiding in a small garden in their backyard.

Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers were called to a nearby home after getting reports of a large creature lurking in their plants.

Despite it’s enormous size, the reptile is almost invisible hiding in a tiny stretch of flora.

The python was first discovered when a resident was cleaning their driveway earlier this month.

They were shocked to find the large snake curled up in a very narrow stretch of garden, nestled underneath a golden cane plant.

The area has seen a recent outbreak of deadly eastern brown snakes, as the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers told Daily Mail Australia it has been a ‘late start to the season.’

The coastal carpet python was safely removed and released into the wild, but not before an image was taken showing how huge the reptile is.

The family were reportedly relieved when the snake was removed and were aghast at how large it was.

They admitted to being very scared of snakes.

The area in south-eastern Queensland is a hotbed for the reptiles with the tropical climate and dense bushland.
