Great danger: Divers spot the world’s largest ever recorded great white shark 2.5 ton ‘Deep Blue’ feasting on a dead whale in Hawaii and JUMP IN to take photos

- It weighs an enormous 2.5tons, measures around 20 feet long and is 50 years old according to scientists

A pair of divers have taken part in a daring photoshoot with the biggest great white shark on the planet, after it was spotted swimming near Hawaii.
The enormous predator, known as ‘Deep Blue’, was first seen by diver and photographer Mark Mohler and Kimberly Jeffries on Sunday last week.
And the pair soon leapt into the water to take a closer look at the creature as she fed on a dead sperm whale, around nine miles from the coast off the Hawaiian island of Oahu.
Mohler wrote on Facebook: ‘Deep Blue, possibly the biggest White Shark identified, coming in at nearly seven meters, was last spotted in Mexico.’
He said she had come to Hawaii for an ‘all-you-can-eat vacation.’
Mohler wrote that fellow diver Jeffries was the first to see her on 13 January, and the pair confirmed Deep Blue’s identity with the white shark authority.
Deep Blue became an icon several years ago during Shark Week on the Discovery Channel, through her remarkable size and age. She is 20 feet long and 50 years old, according to many media reports. Pictures show both photographers getting remarkably close to the deadly animal
It’s likely that Deep Blue became so big simply because of her age. Before being spotted in Hawaii, the great white was caught on video in July 2018 near Guadalupe Island, off the west coast of Mexico. It was spotted lurking off the coast of Hawaii to feed on the carcass of a whale there
