Las Vegas Pool Parties: Where to Go and What to Expect

Extravagant fountains, elegant casinos, gigantic cocktails, poolside parties, and overindulgence conjure up the image of only one place on earth; Las Vegas. Excess and debauchery have become associated with the city to such an extent that its own tagline is known to everyone: “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.”

While that may not be entirely true, the rest of what you’ve probably seen and heard is pretty accurate. With many of the nightclubs opening late in the evening, those wishing to partake in fun in the sunlight need only look to the daytime pool parties. With all of the craziness, but far less clothing, they’re a perfect way to recover from the night before or party the day away. Let’s explore some of the best Las Vegas pool parties.

Daylight Beach Club at Mandalay Bay

Inspired by the party scene of Ibiza, Daylight offers multiple pools surrounded by daybeds and cabanas on the Strip. Whether you plan to relax and recuperate or party like a rockstar, the excellent food and specialty drinks are a good place to start. Sundays often include concert nights, while the rest of the week draws world-renowned DJ’s to the enormous stage.

Daylight is open Thursday through Saturday from 11 am until 6 pm.

Wet Republic at MGM Grand

Part of the portfolio of industry giants, The Hakkasan Group, Wet Republic offers glamour and luxury that’s difficult to surpass. From frozen drinks being served at the long bar to private service at cabanas and bungalows, you’ll be surrounded by Blu-ray players and TV’s, plush furniture, misting fans and of course fantastic music.

Hakkasan regularly makes full use of the incredible sound system when the likes of Tiesto, Steve Aoki and Calvin Harris take to the booth at their Vegas pool parties. Open Thursday through Monday, from 11 am – 6 pm, this is where afternoons are made!

Drai’s Beachclub at The Cromwell

Drai’s is one of the big players in Vegas nightlife with their two famous clubs, but also offers daytime opulence on the 11th floor of The Cromwell. With views of the famous Bellagio fountains, taking a daybed on the edge of the terrace is first prize, but the second-level cabanas overlooking the pool are spectacular as well. Both offer VIP service and relaxed people-watching. But if you’re in the mood to party, you’ll find incredible shows and music by some of the world’s biggest names. Drai’s Beachclub operates Friday to Sunday, from 11 am – 6 pm.

Nightlife in Vegas is amongst the best in the world, and the big players in the industry have taken day clubs to the same level. Being around a pool, in the raging heat of summer, amongst hundreds of beautiful people having the time of their lives is a truly unique experience, and something Vegas does as well as anywhere else. Whether you’re trying to rest and relax or party the day away with the help of some of the world’s best dance music, there are an abundance of options to choose from and certainly something for everyone.
