Laura Byrne and Clementine Ford feud heats up after the feminist author accused The Bachelor star’s husband Matty Johnson of being ‘sexist’
Laura Byrne has struck up a fiery online feud with Clementine Ford after the author lashed out at The Bachelor star’s husband Matty Johnson over an Instagram video.
The footage, posted to the social media platform last Wednesday, saw Matty J, 36, pretend his mother was doing all the housework while Laura, 37, was away.
Soon after, Clementine, 42, slammed the reality star on her own Instagram account for ‘perpetuating retro-sexist’ stereotypes.
‘I have a whole chapter about this kind of retro sexist comedy in I Don’t,’ she said, plugging her book which argues against marriage for the modern woman.
‘[The chapter] explores how men use “comedy” like this to hide their incompetency in plain sight,’ said the feminist activist.

She continued: ‘When women complain about it or push back, we’re accused (yet again) of having no sense of humour and – hilariously – of “hating men”.’
Matty J’s wife, Life Uncut host Laura, lashed out at Clementine for the accusation she levelled against the father of her two daughters.
Sharing her own Instagram video, the podcaster said: ‘The irony in that video is the fact that we were both raised by single mums.’

She continued: ‘I think the reason I need to justify this is because outrage culture is so great. It achieves many things, but that anger needs to be channelled to where it’s useful.’
‘Matt is the primary caregiver in our household. Matt does more than 70% of the parenting because I do more than 70% of the work.
‘Those things are very important parts of the story to keep perspective on when you’re going to get angry about something on the internet.’

Unfortunately, things didn’t end there as Clementine hit out against the couple again, labelling them ‘precious f**king peccadillos’.
‘The defence of these people goes so deep that even the most basic of criticisms is somehow you having an unfair crack at them,’ she said after receiving backlash from Laura and Matty J’s fanbase.
Meanwhile, Matty J double down on his joke, uploading yet another video just a few days later.
In it, he pretended to look regretful as he gave a fake apology which his mother ‘ruined’ by walking into frame as she performed his house duties.
