A grieving mother who lost her 16-year-old son in a workplace accident says she has been targeted by child trolls who are spreading false accusations about her dead son and making vile threats towards her.
Laura McMullin’s labourer son Jayden Fuller died on October 12 when he was struck by a roller while working on a driveway at Alberton on the Gold Coast.
Following her son’s death, Ms McMullin told Daily Mail Australia she has been mercilessly targeted online with physical and sexual threats against her and her daughter.
The direct personal attacks include threats to rape both her and daughter Emily -Jayden’s twin – threats to ‘jump on’ Ms McMullin’s head after she dared to speak out about the threats and posts about urinating on her son’s grave.

‘Cyberbullying is a real thing, the pain is crippling,’ the grief-stricken mother told Daily Mail Australia.
‘There seems to be no fear at all from these children, even knowing I have spoken out it continues.’
Ms McMullin said there have been rumours circulated online about his cause of death including claims that it was by suicide or even that he faked it.
The irate mother said the juveniles making these claims are getting praised for making up the stories online.
While she grapples with the loss of her son, Ms McMullin said the community must work together to speak to their children about how unacceptable this online behaviour is.
‘Every single person that attended that scene including emergency services suffered that day,’ Ms McMullin said.
‘So these reminders don’t just affect me, it’s the whole support system and community.
‘This workplace incident is under investigation so all this information has come from children’s imaginations, it’s purely cruel to even go down that track.
‘We know absolutely nothing about what happened that day, just that a roller killed my son. It is important for us as a family to know the truth, not have stories formed from rumours.’

Ms McMullin said she still receives screenshots of troll posts most days from Jayden’s friends.
The abusers have ‘absolutely no fear, it’s terrifying’, she said.
‘I’m not at all angry, not one part of me is angry.
‘I’m tired, my body is physically tired from trying to protect and defend my beautiful boy,’ she said.
‘I feel such sadness this is how another human can act with a random attack on a terribly sad situation.
‘I’ve even tried giving them a fright that I had been to the police… try and give them that chance to stop.
‘That caused me to be called a snitch. I’m simply trying to save lives here.’
Ms McMullin said while she feels the love and support from so many, the community should be working together to tell children the online trolling behaviour is unacceptable

‘Emily and I have dealt with little a**hole children finding such joy picking on us about Jayden,’ she wrote following his death.
‘Suicide jokes and how he deserved it all… this began the night he died.
‘We are aware of a group of eight odd children on a group chat running him down, having a great laugh about p***ing on his grave.’
On Tuesday she once again took to Facebook, exhausted by the torment, saying, ‘I physically, mentally and emotionally can not take anymore.’
‘I am trying… That’s all I’m trying to do, is try. Trying to heal my broken heart, trying to grieve the loss, trying to live, trying to support my daughter, trying to support myself, trying to breathe, I am trying to feel something,’ Ms McMullin said.
‘And then your son posts on social media about my son, who can not stand up for himself because he is no longer here.
‘To the parents of these kids, I should tell you I hope you feel my pain, I hope you feel the anger, the hurt, the heartbreak that I do… but I do not wish this on anyone.
‘I simply ask you, you as a parent to parent, please ask your children to stop talking about my son and speak to them, make them understand what they are doing is unhealthy, disrespectful, disgusting and they should be ashamed of themselves.’
