Lauren Brant gifts partner Barry Hall with $57,000 car…after his firing from radio

Barry Hall told 60 Minutes earlier this week that he and partner Lauren Brant have been left with ‘no income’ following his firing from Triple M radio back in June.

But on Thursday, the former AFL star showed no signs of financial strain, picking up a brand new Holden Trailblazer z71 from a dealership in Melbourne.

The flash 4WD, which retails for $57,333, was gifted to Barry by Lauren, who proudly shared a photo of the new vehicle on Instagram.

Happy as Barry! On Thursday, Lauren Brant gifed  partner Barry Hall with a $57,000 Holden 4WD… less than a week after he claimed they ‘had no income’ following his firing from radio

‘So this happened today,’ Lauren wrote beneath her photo of the car, which had a big red bow placed on its bonnet.

‘Happy Father’s Day, Happy Birthday & Merry Christmas for the next 5 yrs! @barryh01’, she added.

Barry could be seen at the side of the snap beaming excitedly as he held the couple’s 15-month-old son, Miller.

The family-size vehicle, which features a full leather interior, is a likely investment in Lauren and Barry’s future given that it has ample space for any future children they might have.

Given their current financial situation, it’s unclear whether Lauren purchased the vehicle, or whether it was given to the couple as part of a sponsorship deal with a Holden dealership.

Daily Mail Australia have contacted Lauren and Barry for comment.

Earlier this week, Barry spoke candidly with 60 Minutes about how he and Lauren have been left without a regular paycheque after he was sacked for an offensive comment he made on radio.

‘The thing is now, we’ve got no income now,’ he emotionally told reporter Charles Wooley.

‘There’s no real light at the end of the tunnel of when that will change or when that will be,’ he stressed.

It comes two months after he made vulgar comments on Triple M about a former AFL player’s pregnant wife.

On June 29, Barry was commentating during the station’s pre-game show with St Kilda legend Leigh Montagna, when he made an offensive comment regarding Leigh’s pregnant wife Erinn.

The panel was discussing the fact she had undergone a ‘sweep’, a technique used by medical professionals to try to induce labour.

Barry ‘joked’ that the male doctor behaved in a sexually inappropriate way, which sparked laughter from the other panelists.

‘It was a bit unrehearsed. It was an off the cuff comment that was inappropriate for air,’ Barry told 60 Minutes.

‘It shouldn’t have been on the radio. It was a big c*** up’.

Barry’s employment with the network was terminated immediately, and the station issued an apology to listeners.
