‘I was screaming for help’: New mum Lauren Goodger details her drug-free home birth with newborn daughter Larose and reveals she ‘gouged’ beau Charles Drury’s eyes during labour

New mum Lauren Goodger has revealed her natural drug-free home birth with daughter Larose left her ‘screaming for help’ as the contractions took hold.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Lauren, 34, who welcomed 8lb 9oz Larose on July 20 with beau Charles Drury, 24, said she had endured her labour with only gas and air for relief.

She said: ‘I had a natural home birth with no drugs and the midwife said she’d never seen someone give birth so textbook the way I did. I had a bit of gas and air, which we ran out of and they had to go to hospital to get some more, but I was in my zone and I did it.

Lauren said the magnitude of the labour pains made her feel like ‘I was about to die’, with the star already 8cm dilated when she was checked by a midwife. Contractions then followed every 30 seconds.

Revealing that she received a burst of energy when she got to the final stages of her labour, Lauren detailed how Larose was delivered as she was standing up.

Lauren’s partner Charles was supporting her throughout the labour, saying: ‘I was getting my hair pulled and every time she had a contraction she was grabbing my face and gouging my eyes out. But you just go through it, comfort her and reassure her she’s doing well.’
