Lauren Pope tells Jon Clark she doesn’t trust him

She recently admitted their relationship was ‘a bit weird’, but blasted claims of a showmance.

However Lauren Pope and Jon Clark hit another rocky patch on Sunday night’s TOWIE, when she admitted she did not trust him.

The beauty, 34, left her new beau, 27, downcast after confessing she thought he was ‘risky’ to date, following his turbulent romance with Love Island’s Chloe Crowhurst over the summer.

The unlikely couple were seen enjoying a picnic in the park together, after their romance was revealed on the show.

However, Lauren soon delivered some home truths to Jon – expressing her fears that he was not over his ex Chloe, who he split from in August.

She told him: ‘I don’t trust you. You’re a bit of a risk.’

Explaining that she did not want to be involved in any romantic drama, she added: ‘I’m worried about things getting messy so I’m just going to leave now.’

Abandoning their romantic al fresco date, Jon was seen looking despondent as he watched his girlfriend walk away from the picnic blanket.

The dramatic scenes came after Lauren admitted her romance with Jon was ‘weird’ – after causing a stir among fans with their unexpected fling.

Having been friends with Jon for a long time, she told the Daily Star: ‘Everyone thinks it is strange and we are the first to admit it is a bit weird.’

However, she went on to explain that the pair are not faking romance for the cameras, and that they will do their utmost to maintain their relationship during TOWIE.

She continued: ‘But it is real and isn’t a showmance.

‘We are both very realistic. We know TOWIE’s history for relationships. There are few happy endings, so I think we are both being over-cautious and leading with our heads.’ 

Sunday’s episode had been full of drama – with Megan McKenna also locking horns with Georgia Kousoulou, after her attempts to reunite the ‘girl band’ friendship group turned toxic.

The controversial scenes came as Megan and Georgia discussed Chloe Meadow’s reluctance to heal their rift.

The ‘girl band’, the friendship group of Chloe Meadows, Courtney Green and herself have been on frosty terms for the last year with Megan hoping for that to change.

In the shocking episode however, Megan was once again the name on everyone in Essex’s lips as the girls began to speculate on her true intentions making up with Chloe M and Courtney.

Frustrated by Tommy’s recent comments, Megan broke down in tears at the gym and was left inconsolable as Amber Turner and boyfriend Pete Wicks try to comfort her.

Later at Bobby’s birthday, Amber Dowding and Georgia approached Megan over their comments about Chloe M being wary of the girl band reunion, and before long the conversation descended into a full blown argument. 

Georgia admitted she doesn’t like Megan, and Megan stormed off as Gemma Collins watches on. 

Meanwhile Gemma was on a crusade to help the animals and has a dramatic announcement to make at Bobby’s birthday, which is met with a less than convinced reaction from him.

Elsewhere, Amber T sought out Dan at Bobby’s birthday but it quickly ended in tears.
