Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos ‘feel happy and free’ in their relationship

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and partner Lauren Sanchez ‘feel free now,’ a friend said days after they put their romance on display at the Wimbledon men’s tennis final in London.

The loved-up pair were seen on Sunday at the All England Tennis Club, seven months after the philandering spouses were exposed by The National Enquirer.

It marked the first time the two have publicly attended an event together, and came just a few days after Bezos finalized his divorce with wife Mackenzie, who walked off with a settlement that included $38 billion worth of Amazon stock.

Taking about their attendance at Wimbledon, a friend of the couple told Page Six: ‘They weren’t trying to upstage anyone, they were just happy to be together — as Jeff made uncomfortably clear when he couldn’t keep his hands off Lauren.

A friend of the couple told The Post that Jeff and Lauren feel like ‘a ton of bricks has been lifted off their shoulders.’

A friend of Lauren’s also claimed: ‘Jeff and Lauren are just so happy and they want the world to know. They feel free now.’

Divorce documents and an SEC filing obtained by DailyMail.com reveal that Bezos transferred shares equal to four percent of the company’s outstanding common stock when his split was finalized by the court.

That could not happen however until 90 days after the initial filing under state law in Washington, where the two own a massive Mercer Island property.

This means that the $35.85 billion settlement his ex -wife Mackenzie Bezos was reported to be receiving on April 4 was not an accurate sum, with that number drastically increasing and deceasing every time Amazon stock fluctuated over that three-month period.

In the end, Mackenzie managed to pocket an additional $3 billion because of that waiting period, with stock increases putting the value of her stock at $38.3 billion when a King County judge signed the divorce order last Friday.

The Petition for Divorce was filed by Mackenzie on March 28 in King County, Washington.

Now Bezos and Lauren Sanchez divide their time between Manhattan and Seattle, where they both still have homes in the upmarket suburb of Medina and Los Angeles.

A friend told Page Six: ‘I guarantee [pre-nup] conversations will come up closer to a wedding date, but right now, it’s not even a subject.’

The couple are reportedly  ‘bird-nesting’ with their former partners, according to Page Six. This mean’s that Bezos’ four children stay at one home while he or ex-wife Mackenzie move in or out for days or weeks at a time.

Sanchez, a former news anchor and her ex-husband, Hollywood power agent Patrick Whitesell, also follow suit with their two daughters.

She also has a son named Nikko, 18, with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez.

Lauren’s friend added: ‘The bird-nesting is actually going better than anyone expected. Above everything, everyone involved in this brouhaha were concerned about protecting the kids.’

‘Lauren has plenty of help with the children thanks to Patrick and her family. She has a huge support system, and this allows her to travel with Jeff.’

The personal life of Jeff Bezos was thrust into the spotlight with the announcement in January that he and his wife were divorcing after 25 years of marriage and the revelation by the National Enquirer that he had been having an affair with Lauren Sanchez.

Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos married in 1993 and have four children. Jeff Bezos founded Amazon in their Seattle garage in 1994 and turned it into a colossus that dominates online retail.

Last Month, it was reported that Bezos spent around $80 million on three apartments at 212 Fifth Avenue that overlook Madison Square Park that could be for him and Sanchez.

She and her husband Patrick Whitesell filed for divorce in April and neither sought spousal support.

‘They also shared that they wanted joint custody of their kids.

A source close to Patrick told Page Six: ‘Patrick is a great man, who’s got a lot of dignity. When the scandal hit and Lauren was being slut-shamed, he told friends that he didn’t want anyone attacking her,’ the source claimed.

‘His relationship with Lauren is probably better than it was before the divorce.’

Lauren’s friend claimed that they are happy their relationship is solid and people know about it.

The friend claimed: ‘It may not be perfect, but they’re not looking for perfection.

‘They’re happy to be moving on with their lives together. Now they can be free without worrying about anyone. The outside influences have been neutralized.’

The friend also revealed that the couple could be set to get married in the future.

‘They’re really in love. What you saw at Wimbledon is who they really are. ‘They’ve gone through so much to be together.’

Both Bezos and Sanchez said their marriages were over before the affair came to light but have never specified exactly when it started.

Text messages showed they were speaking romantically as far back as April last year.

After their affair became public, the pair vowed not to see one another but remained in touch and stayed ‘very much in love’ according to friends.
