Orange Is the New Black’s Laverne Cox opted for Chinoiserie to promote her new beauty competition Glam Masters at AOL Build Series Studio in Manhattan on Tuesday.

The 45-year-old transgender icon paired her red Chinese-style halter mini-dress with black strappy stilettos selected by stylist Christina Pacelli.

Deja Smith applied the Daytime Emmy winner’s contoured make-up and gave her a ‘Wakanda tribute’ on the eyes.

And hairstylist Ursula Stephen coiffed Laverne’s bobby pin-infused crimped blonde wig.

Once inside, Cox reunited with her Glam Master judges YouTube makeup expert Kandee Johnson and Marie Claire senior fashion editor Zanna Roberts Rassi.

‘The winner has the opportunity to collaborate with executive producer Kim Kardashian West on a limited edition make-up collection with KKW Beauty,’ the Beat for the Gods singer told the audience.

The Alabama School of Fine Arts grad recalled how important cosmetics were for her self-discovery as a bullied, suicidal boy growing up in the South.

‘When I started wearing make-up in high school, it was a way for me to announce to the world that I wasn’t who they thought I was,’ Laverne explained.
