A short time later officers from Kawana Waters Station spotted the stolen vehicle and trailer near the Bruce Highway interchange and attempted to intercept.

Police were joined by another squad car and motorbike and continued the pursuit.

The driver then did an alleged U-turn while travelling south on the Bruce Highway before police were able to get ahead of him and place spikes along the road.

After successfully deflating the two front wheels of the ute, the car eventually came to a stop on a busy road as police closed in on him.

‘I’m done, i’m done, I’m done,’ the teenager could be heard saying as police pulled him from the car.
