A woman and three boys have been killed after their car slammed into a pole and hurtled down an embankment on a country road days out from Easter.

Emergency services were called to a intersection of Research Road and Toorak Road, Yanco – approximately 7km south of Leeton in southern NSW around 11.15pm Tuesday night following reports of a single vehicle crash.

It’s understood the vehicle had crashed into a pole and then deflected down an embankment into a water channel onto its roof.

All four occupants in the vehicle died at the scene before emergency services arrived.

They are believed to be a 36-year-old woman and three boys aged 10, 11 and 12 who are all related to one another.

Officers from the Murrumbidgee Police District have established a crime scene that will be examined by specialist police.

No further information is available at this stage.
