Chaka Khan and Nile Rodgers proved they’ve still got it after decades of dominating the American music industry.
Performing at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Saturday for the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, the musical legends sent fans wild.
The packed venue saw six hours of performances by Nile, 71, with his band Chic, Kaiit, and Chaka, 70, blow their audience away.
Garbed in a funky salmon suit, Nile opened the act with his hit song Le Freak which is still the biggest selling single in Atlantic Records history.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer accessorised his classic look with a white beret and sunglasses as he took to the stage with his guitar and two backup singers.

‘The time has come to take you to a place of maximum funkosity,’ Nile told the crowd, reported The Daily Advertiser.
His band Chic went on to cover all their greatest ’70s hits, including Everybody Dance and I Want Your Love.
The huge night of music ended with 10-time Grammy winner Chaka as she took to the stage for the final act.

Once the lead vocalist for the funk band Rufus, the singer has an astounding music career spanning 50 years.
It’s been 10 years since the jazz pioneer played in Australia, choosing to visit Sydney the last time she flew Down Under.
Garbed in sheer sleeves and black fringed pants which moulded to her figure, the performer promptly assured the crowd that Melbourne is her favourite city.

‘I’m 50 years in show business right now. Which is crazy because I’m only 45,’ she joked with her fans.
Chaka started her act with This Is My Night and Tell Me Something Good, followed up with her ’80s hits What Cha’ Gonna Do For Me and Sweet Thing.
She later performed I’m Every Woman with a backup of three vocalists before closing the show out with her hit Ain’t Nobody.
Chaka’s incredible performance was elevated by her eight-piece band who had plenty of opportunity to show off their own skills.
