A woman suspected of killing her ex-girlfriend was found hanging over a bridge railing by a bystander before she was arrested.
Zixi Wang, 29, is expected to be charged with murder on Wednesday after Shuyu Zhou was found dead.
The 23-year-old had plunged from her fifth floor balcony in Zetland, Sydney at about 9pm on Monday.
After police issued an appeal to find Wang, a dog walker named James called 2GB radio to say he had spotted her.
‘I think I’ve found the car… I’m (at) Sea Cliff Bridge at Wollongong,’ he told 2GB.

About 3.30pm the 29-year-old was arrested at the Sea Cliff Bridge, north of Wollongong, where she was found along with the missing car
‘She looked very agitated, as if she was going to do something. She was on the second rail hanging over, I was nearly going to go and grab her but she came down again… she was very agitated.
‘I pretended to pat my dog to take the attention away from anything happening in the area.
‘When she moved to the north I followed by 100m behind and when she walked past me I kept a safe distance.’
The woman was arrested and kept in custody over night in Wollongong. She is expected to appear in court on Thursday.

Ms Zhou is believed to have fallen from the fifth floor of the Rose Valley Way block and onto a colourbond fence. She died a short time later.
Police issued an appeal for Ms Wang’s arrest, saying she was wanted for ‘murder and stealing a car’.
It is understood Ms Wang left the unit block in the a white Mercedes Benz belonging to the dead woman, in the hours after the incident.
A member of the public spotted Ms Wang at Sea Cliff Bridge, north of Wollongong, about 3pm on Tuesday and contacted police. She was arrested a short time later.
The Mercedes was taken for forensic testing. Ms Wang is being interviewed by police and is expected to be charged later tonight.
Property records indicated Ms Wang owned the apartment along with another person with the same last name.
She arrived in Australian from Beijing in China and studied at the University of Adealiade before moving to Sydney.
A man named James called in to 2GB radio’s Ben Fordham and told how he led police to Wang after he spotted the white Mercedes.
‘I followed her back down the Sea Cliff Bridge and kept in contact with the police until they came,’ he said.

Police said Wang was arrested ‘following assistance from the public’.
Officers were initially called to the block in the city’s inner-east about 8.45pm on Monday by neighbours who heard 10 minutes of ‘painful screaming’.

She reportedly suffered other injuries before she went over the metre-high railings.
The two women are believed to have been in a relationship but broke up recently. Police were concerned for Wang’s welfare and hoped she would turn herself in.

Superintendent Brad Hodder earlier said Wang was last seen leaving the band new 11-storey complex in a stolen white 2015 Mercedes with registration CZG-81Q.
‘We’re concerned for her welfare as well, we’d like her to come forward,’ Superintendent Hodder said.
‘The vehicle’s been circulated, all police are aware of the vehicle and the person we’re looking for and we’re hoping she’ll hand herself in prior to that.
‘At this stage I would request members of the public not to approach her, I believe she is in a vulnerable state and if they ring triple-0 to get the police along they’ll come and do their job.’
Superintendent Hodder said officers were confronted with ‘a horrible scene’ when they responded to the call.
‘Any fall from a building is a tragic sight,’ he said.

Police are not yet sure what Wang was doing at the apartment.
Neighbours said they heard a young woman screaming not long before the victim is believed to have fallen.
One neighbour told said she heard ‘about 10 minutes of intermittent painful screaming’.
‘They were fighting for 10 minutes, it was painful screaming. It sounded like a man and a woman who knew each other.’ they said.
Police searched the unit later that night looking for a man but neighbours said no one was home.

Forensics officers were seen searching the apartment on Tuesday morning while detectives escorted neighbours away to be interviewed.
Some residents returned home having no idea what happened the night before.
‘I’ve never seen so many cars in this street,’ a confused woman who just arrived from the airport said.
About a dozen police were seen rummaging through bushes but didn’t appear to find anything.
Others searched the underground parking garage, reviewed CCTV from the lobby, and poked around the building site facing the balcony.

The block opened about a year ago and some shops on the ground floor were not yet occupied.
The woman is believed to have struck a white metal fence as she landed, leaving a huge dent in the top and side of the structure.
As the investigation continues, police are appealing for Wang or anyone with information on her whereabouts to come forward.
