Lethal Weapon’s Michelle Mitchenor is engaged to Coley Speaks.
And the Seven Seconds star faked a fight with his wife-to-be to set up the perfect proposal.
‘The engagement was EPIC,’ the actor told People on Thursday.

‘It was one of the most difficult acting roles I’ve tackled thus far.’
He planned to pop the question during a private screening of her BET movie Tales: Trap Queens.
However, in order to throw her off the scent, he picked a huge — but fake — fight with her the night before.
‘It was so bad I wasn’t sure she’d want to see me again,’ he said. ‘But I stayed in character all the way through and it paid off beautifully.’

During the private screening, got down on one knee to offer a rose gold ring with with a one-carat diamond.
‘I had ZERO idea this was coming because of the fight he faked the night before,’ Mitchenor admitted.
‘I cried, I laughed and kept saying “Shut the eff up!”‘
The actress added her beau had picked the perfect ring: ‘It’s has such a unique and vintage style to it,’ she said. ‘It stands alone and represents me perfectly.’
The couple plan to tie the knot this October.
