The Sun reported that the hitmaker was surrounded by a group of 100 cast and crew for the shoot.

A source told the publication that fans can expect the final product to be ‘surreal’.

They said: ‘The eclectic, surreal shoot was top secret, but there was a lot of excitement around the theatre as it’s a big comeback moment for Lewis. Fans can expect a spectacle.’

They added: ‘He’s buzzing for fans to hear his new song, but it won’t be released for a few months now.’

MailOnline have contacted reps for Lewis and Theatre Royal for comment.

It comes after the Someone You Loved singer admitted he was ‘terrified’ about making the follow-up to his No1 debut album.

Last year he took to Instagram to write: ‘I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been terrified about making my next album since the moment I finished Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.

‘I’ve been writing loads of tunes and I can’t wait for you to hear them.’

Lewis released Divinely Inspired To A Hellish Extent in May 2019, spending 10 weeks in the album top spot.

He recently boosted his fortune to more than £3.3m as royalties rolled in from his debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent.

After self-releasing his first track Bruises in 2017, Capaldi became the fastest ever unsigned artist to pass the 25 million plays mark on Spotify.

Lewis has also been busy rehearsing for the summer festival season, as he is headlining at Parklife Festival and Lytham Festival next month.
