Lewis Hamilton divides fans after dressing his bulldog in an ‘uncomfortable’ yellow raincoat

Lewis Hamilton has divided fans for dressing his bulldog in a yellow raincoat – as some suggested the pooch looked ‘uncomfortable’ in the garment.

The Formula One pro, 38, dressed up his pet Roscoe in the Mac which featured a visor, however many said it was ‘not cool’ because the dog couldn’t see out.

Meanwhile others joked it looked like a hazmat suit and compared him to Rubble in kids TV show Paw Patrol.

In the adorable clip Lewis filmed Roscoe walking outside in the rain with the visor over his head.

Speaking as his dog’s Instagram, which has over 720,000 followers, Lewis wrote: ‘I love running on rainy days. Just like dad.’

Formula 1 pro Lewis Hamilton, 38, has been slammed by fans for dressing his bulldog Roscoe in a yellow raincoat

The bio on Roscoe’s Instagram account reads: ‘I’m a vegan bulldog that loves to travel, play ball and get attention from all the girls, especially when they rub my bum. I like frisbee and tennis.’

However some fans didn’t see the funny side and one fumed saying it’s ‘not cool.’

They wrote: ‘I think this cover is not cool. Because the visor ends up almost in the middle of Roscoe’s eyes, making it difficult for him to see properly.’

Another said: ‘Hazmat suit looks mad uncomfy though.’ While another added: ‘In yellow he looks just like Rubble from Paw Patrol.

Meanwhile others were actually fond of the yellow raincoat with some saying they ‘loved it.’

One person quipped: ‘Looks like a little fireman.’ And another said: ‘Love your raincoat Roscoe.’

The seven times world champion previously sparked anger about his pet by feeding Roscoe a plant-based diet.

In 2020, Lewis revealed that his beloved dog was ‘now fully vegan’ following the death of his other pet pooch.

He uploaded a picture of the adorable dog alongside a caption that read: ‘Hey guys, so Roscoe is now fully vegan.

‘Since he has gone vegan, his coat is much softer, his swollen paws have healed up, he is no longer limping with pain of arthritis and his breathing has opened up. Super happy with the result and he is too.’

Roscoe, whose parents are both champion show dogs, has previously found success as a model with Lewis revealing the pooch earns £570 for a shoot.

In November last year, Lewis starred in a new advert with his adorable pooch Roscoe.

The F1 driver partnered with the grocery delivery service Zapp for the 30-second-long advert.

In the sweet clip, Hamilton told the English Bulldog that he would be travelling home from a racing final in Abu Dhabi, and the pooch throws him a welcome home party.

Roscoe then used Zapp to order some vegan goodies for him and Hamilton to enjoy.

His latest clip of the pooch comes weeks after Lewis shared snaps from his wild 38th birthday with pals to his Instagram.

The seven-time F1 world champion quipped that ‘the best ones are always a blur’ as he blew out candles on his cake and took shots while letting his hair down.

He penned in the caption of his latest post: ‘The best ones are always a blur 〰️ Thanks for all the birthday love.’
