Liam Payne is planning to whisk Cheryl Cole away for a ‘make or break’ holiday as the couple fight to save their relationship.
The pair will also take their one-year-old son Bear with them as they try to patch up their damaged partnership.
Liam, who is currently in Dubai and performing on Good Friday, is then set to take Cheryl away to a secret location next week.
A friend of the couple said: ‘This is make or break time. ‘Their relationship has been in serious trouble for several weeks and Liam feels a holiday together with Bear will do them the world of good.
‘He’s kept the location a closely guarded secret and only Cheryl and their closest family know where they’re headed.
‘One thing is certain, Liam plans to spoil Cheryl rotten for two weeks.’ Mail Online revealed the couple’s two year relationship was in trouble last month.

The pair put on a brave face at The Brit Awards but since then Liam has revealed in ES Magazine things are ‘not fine and dandy’ between himself and his girlfriend.
Cheryl, 34, was livid he spoke publicly about their relationship and warned him not to do it again.
She was also annoyed when pictures emerged of Liam, 24, cosying up to Katy Perry, 33, in Japan, while Cheryl was left at home.
Blonde Katy – who is dating Orlando Bloom – was clad in a gold body suit and thigh boots combo for her usual provocative performance.
The friend said: ‘Posting a picture of himself with a beautiful woman while Cheryl was sat at home was not Liam’s finest hour.
‘He knows how to push Cheryl’s buttons and if he wanted to upset her this picture certainly did the trick.
‘He is hoping this holiday will get things back on track. He still loves Cheryl and knows he has to really fight for the relationship – not just for them both but for little Bear too.’

In his magazine interview Liam confirmed there were problems at home. He said:
‘The funniest thing was a week before we were getting married. The next week we’re splitting up.
‘And the thing for me is, I just like to think we’re somewhere in the middle. You know, we have our struggles — like of course I’m not gonna sit here and say that everything’s absolutely fine and dandy, because of course you go through different things, and that’s what a relationship is.
‘But we go through them together as a family and that’s the most important thing for me.
‘This part of our relationship was never not going to happen, there was always going to be a little bit of tenseness in the way we sort ourselves out, but tell me a relationship in the world that doesn’t go through a spot like that?
‘It’s about whether you make it through or not, together, is the main point there I guess.’
A friend told MailOnline: ‘Liam is hoping this holiday will get things back on track. He still loves Cheryl and knows he has to really fight for the relationship – not just for them both but for little Bear too (pictured above)’

Cheryl’s mother Joan – who lives with her daughter and Liam – is understood to have been frustrated with Liam’s desire to go to showbiz parties and lead a celebrity lifestyle.
Cheryl now prefers to stay in watching television than going out to glitzy parties, which seemingly is a result of the couple’s 10 year age gap.
The pal said: ‘If this holiday doesn’t work it really could be curtains for the couple, which would be a terrible shame for both them and Bear.’
A spokesman for the couple refused to comment.
