Liam Neeson’s nephew Ronan dies five years after sustaining serious head injuries in tragic fall during night out

Liam Neeson’s nephew has died five years after suffering serious head injuries in a fall.

Ronan Sexton passed away in Cushendall, Northern Ireland, surrounded by family, according to The Belfast Telegraph. He was 35.

In 2014 Sexton was seriously injured during a night out in Brighton, East Sussex with friends, he had fallen from a telephone booth and hit his head.

Reports at the time said he had climbed to the top of a telephone box on a seafront promenade and fell 20ft to the ground. 

Mr Sexton was rushed to hospital in critical condition before being transferred to Hurstwood Park Hospital in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. 

Sexton was the youngest of six children. His mother is Bernadette, Neeson’s sister.

Neeson lost his wife, Natasha Richardson, in a tragic accident almost 10 years ago.

It’s not the first tragic loss Neeson has suffered, the actor lost his wife Natasha Richardson in 2009.

The British actress died aged 45 two days after hitting her head in a skiing accident.
